Timely Data Feedback Keeps My BP on Track
WINNER: Consumer Prevention Prize
WINNER: Popular Choice Award
My technology solution for managing hypertension is the wireless tracking of my blood pressure scores, both on the web and on my smartphone. With that timely, longitudinal information I am able to assess how my blood pressure is trending, and to see correlations between my unhealthy behavior (e.g., high fat restaurant food, stressful phone calls, lack of exercise, unhealthy snacks) and elevated blood pressure. When scores trend in the wrong direction, I am more motivated to get out and exercise to regain management of my blood pressure!

Nice non-threatening approach. Good message that each of us make daily choices that determine our health outcomes. Will share widely.

Rick, nice job. I don't think the Sawx will be causing you too much more stress this year. Chris

I'm trying to imagine the blood pressure on the far right after Obamas's same sex marriage endorsement yesterday. The beta blockers are probably being handed out like M & M's this morning!

I monitor every day, chart it, and send it to my physician once a year before my checkup. Does anyone really care? I do.

If your blood pressure can survive this past week of the Red Sox implosion you must really be on to something good.

Rick:
I'm inspired. Well done......I think I'll go out for a jog now myself, though doing away with those fried onion rings will be tough.
